ok, ive checked all my vaccuum connections and there are no vaccum leaks, ive been trying to ajust the timing but its idling so rough that ajusting it isnt doing anything, its all over the place, and now it started to die on me sometimes.also its blowing a whole bunch a black smoke when it idles up. any suggestions?

i had all my IC piping connected and it was doign it, so i pulled it off hooked my MAF up to the throttle body. same thing. im thinking my maf sensor may have gotten fried from the fire, is there anyway of checking this without getting another maf?

ok, got some more info. seems more like a fueling problem. whenever the ingition is turned up i always hear something flowing threw the fuel rail, sounds like air, but i always assumed it was just fuel and it was supposed to make that noise, although it never seemed right. But when it was running, i squeezed the fuel line and whenever the idle would drop down, i would feel my fuel pressure drop. so basically i was getting pulses of fuel. i have the walbro pump in. any clue what could cause this?

not sure if it would fix your prob or not but i have heard that it is good to use an adj. fpr when using the walbro to help with the pulsing fuel pressure. and a gauge so the pressure can be set right.

yes you really should use a higher volume pressure regulator.

that wouldnt cause my pressure to drop every few seconds thought would it? im thinking possibly it may be that theres not enough fuel in the tank and its pumping air? im not going back out to the garage tonight to put more in cause its freezing out haha, but i only put 3 gallons in when i was starting it up for the first time. i think that may be why i hear air flowing through the fuel rail when the ignition is on, and the pump doesnt turn off. if it is then ill feel really stupid but i hope thats all it is haha

could be if the baffles arent letting all the fuel around the inlet for the pump.
