My car is at the mechanic's and he is having troubles getiing it to idle. To get it to crank it has to be at 1/2 WOT.

Car has high compression head swap, butterflys removed (although not sealed?), and all emission control thigns removed. Distributor has been advanced, but I'm not sure how far.

The engine shakes violently when it is trying to crank, still at 1/2 WOT. And when it is runningthe exhaust has a pop to it.

Possible Problems...A. faulty TPS?B. need DOHC ECU instead of SOHC? Smug510 questionC. can't remember if butterflies have to be sealed? or whether it would cause a fuss

Please help! Tomorrow is my ****in birthday and driving my car would be awesome.

Try, injectors, my 3rd cylinder shorted out and it was only running on 3 cylinders for 3 weeks lol, also replace the fuel filter, and plugs n wires. Thats what I did and now mine pures like a kitten then screams like...well whatever screams and sounds cool haha. But check the injectors and see if any are shorted out/shot (dead), and if its at the mechanics he shoulda thought of that. If its not that check you O2 sensor, and your other sensors. It could also be carbon deposits in the cumbustion chamber. So check those and tell me what happens from there.

Also it might be the stuff you did to your car, your car just might not like all of it/not recognize it...

There were plenty of carbon on the piston tops, although right now still in the gas tank there is a bottle of engine cleaner, B-12. Right now in the gas tank, there is 1/4 87 octance, berryman b-12 and 104 octane booster!

Beofre it went to the mechanic, I had to keep drying out the plugs from fuel, so they should be still working but since they are hardwired, something may have came loose?

It was just open eshaust manifold, don't know if it is common but there were some blue flames. I also mentioned the possiblity of the O2 sensor but he thinkis it is out of time, well until I brought in JWT cam lobe picture, now it is sorta confused that it was right.
