A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I just bought a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE R Spec V, I have a problem with the idling. When I push on the gas pedal and let go the RPMs stay up for like 3to5 seconds. Also when I'm coming to a stop and have my foot on the clutch the idling goes up and down, from 1 to 2 on the RPM gauge. If I put the car in neutral when I'm rolling it seems to not do it, but it still doesn't go down to regular idle speed. Does any body know what this is?

Co-signed, or the idle could be going nuts because there is a leak somewhere in the Intake.

I tryed to reset the ECU and did the idle relearn did not work. I also took apart the intake to see if their were any leaks, or a butterfly screw loose... nothing. any other thoughts on this.

Doing the idle relearn didn't work or you couldn't get the procedure to work?

How would I know if I didn't it right? I followed all the steps, more then once. Something ain't right, and I wish I could figure It out before I have to spend a bunch of money on it.

TPS or MAF, more likely the TPS. Any modifications? Does it ever buck or hesitate under throttle?

No mod's. After I let it warm up and turn it off and go do somthing for like 5 to 10 min, and I go to start it, and it doesn't start the first time. It always starts the second time, and after that the car runs good. except for the idling thing. No buck or hesitation at all. Sorry I'm new to this whole car thing, what is the TPS and MAF?

The crank angle position sensor's are known issues as well. It is a $20 dollar part and fairly easy to change. I'm just throwing this out there because of your warm start issue.
