idling high

hi guys, i have a 89 ka24e with 86k miles. aliright heres the problem one night i was at a friends shop and we were looking at my car i started it and it ran fine for like a min or to then somethign happend and it started to run like garbage sounded like it was stutering really bad and was idling at like 500 and would die if i didnt give it gas after a few seconds and when i drove home it felt like it was running on 2 cylinders. so that night me and a buddy cleaned out the throttle body cleaned the injectors checked for vacum leaks recaped everthing and then played with the distributer and change the timing and it fixed the stutter problem and now it idols at around 2k and after running a few min the rpms would jump from 1k-2.5k so i changed out the idle box (ibelieve thats wut its called) and adjusted it and now its idling at around 1700-1800 and still the rpms bounce. the guy i bought the car from has pinched off the egr i believe i have cleaned the maf. ive talkd to alota of ppl about this and read around on the internet did everything tht ive read and been told to do to fix it the only thing i havent done yet is change the computer out which i plannning on doing when i get home. plz help
