Ok so my car is running like poop after rebuilding. Guessing it has to do with timing chain. Other topics such as mine have been covered however. I have not yet found a picture of the correct idler sprocket position.

So back to my engine... I have TDC on my main pulley (second mark from the left) and my #1 piston is in it's compression stage. My cams are perfectly aligned according to Jim Wolf diagrams. Mating marks 8 chain links away from each other...

HOWEVER... I have reason to believe my idler sprocket is off due to the fact that my engine runs smoother, but still crappy, turning the distributer clockwise and I only can turn it so far before it hits the cover (this is with the bolts off mind you).

Here is a picture of my cam and idler sprockets.

In red is the mating marks. The mating mark for the upper chain on the idler sprocket is on the bottom, somewhere near 6 o'clock.

If someone could lend their advice or show me a picture of the correct alignment of the idler sprocket, I would be very grateful.

Most likely your dizzy is off a tooth or 2, get #1 to tdc and yank the dizzy out and then put it back in according to the fsm. Then put a timing light on it and get it set correctly.

I hate messing with the timing chains on ka's, getting the center sprocket bolt in is always a pain in the a**.

Already tried advancing and retarding the distributor one notch. However, I recently found that my #1 cylinder isn't firing. I am starting to gear towards spark plug wires... I'm going to test that right now.

Get all your cylinders firing then start trouble shooting from there.

Just figured out that my #1 injector isn't spraying. Checked voltage, that was 12v, checked ohms, that was 11.5, and checked spark, and that was good also. At idle it makes no difference whether the spark plug or the injector is plugged in or not. Also no fuel is coming out of the spark plug hole when the spark plug is removed and engine is idling.

Clogged injector perhaps? Or should I be looking at something else?

The easiest thing to do would be to just change the injector for a known good one, and see if that solves it.

Just checked my injector wiring with a homemade noid light and it checks out. It is definitely a clogged injector. Hey I was actually wondering, could I attempt to unclog it (I have a feeling it is something solid and large) by running power to injector to have it open and blowing air or something through the nozzles essentially reverse flowing it?
