Idler sprocket help!

Ok here is the story. I have a 91 240 with dohc ka with blown head gasket I fix it but I'm stuck in getting the idler sprocket bolt back in but It won't go in. I take sprocket off and test fitted the bolt and the bolt is too big fit the hole? Weird right? And info or help is appreciated. Mind you this is the exact bolt that came from there. Will get pics soon.

can you take a picture to go a head and show us which bolt you are using. my only guess is that you have cross threaded the hole trying to put it back in...in which case you might want to go find a tap and die or get a new helicoil put in... so take a close look at your threads!

if you cross threaded or stripped the threads out you'll need a M12-1.25 Helicoil carquest is your best bet about $75
