I did a little bit of searching around for some info but havent come up with much. I idler pulley is bad on my car, the one on the passenger side if that matters when i replace it? Anyways where can i find one to replace it with? Infinitipartsusa.com doesnt show the pulley or belts under their category where they should be. Would one from Advanced Auto, Napa or Hovis work just as well? What kind of price am i looking at? Thank you

$20 retail for the OEM (top) quality bearings. Some pulleys have two. There are 6 total.

Always call IoS.

You don't have to go the dealer for quality bearings at $20 each. I bought all six bearings (size 6303 ZZ) online for about $6.00 each. Just do a quick search. You can go cheaper and buy the bearings with the metal bearing shield for $2-3 each or buy the $6 ones that closely match the factory bearings with the rubber bearing shield.

You might as well buy all six and go ahead and replace them all. You will need a bearing press unless you know someone at a machine shop who can press them all in for you for a reasonable price. If you are not skilled enough, I would not recommend pressing them in with a block of wood and hammer or you could destroy not only the bearings, but possibly the idler pulleys.

Good luck with your project.

The top quality ones can be had for less, but don't under any circumstances get the lesser ones. Chinese is a real no no.

texasoil has found a source for top-quality, reasonably-priced idler pulley bearings - You can order a complete set of them from him here.
