I'm looking to replace the idler pulley bearings (6 total I hear?) on my 1998 Q45 and I had a hard time finding the dimensions or good place to buy them from. I kept reading that Nicoclub member texasoil had them, but I can't seem to contact him. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

I tried him last year + some months. I don't think hes doing the bearings.. So sourcing the bearings + pressing out and in if you have the correct tools + time+ even sanding and repainting (if your anal). I just went and bought new pulleys. You will get a significant discount if you buy them all. New mounts and tensioners come with them as well. My engine bay is VERY quiet at 250k now

I know it doesn't help much since you'll have to pull the pullies to see this - but the actual bearings will have numbers stamped in them for identification. I put new bearings in my truck's pullies, and they have been quieter, but not as quiet as I would like. I think I would go with new OEM ones in the Q when the time comes.

All the bearings are the same. I'll look it up when I get home if no one else finds it. I know it's posted somewhere here on the forum.

If all the pulley bearings from 1990 on are the same then I think this is the thread Wes is talking about.

^^Can anyone confirm that pulleys from the 1990 Q are the same size as the 1998?

I read on one of these threads that they're 17x47x14 (size 6303zz). Does this sound right?
