Idleing problem, gurgle sound then dies?

I'll start the car and have to give a lot of gas for it to rev. It makes a gurgling sound and dies if I let it go less than 2000. I set the IACV valve high so it would idle, but doesn't help. It almost sounds like its clogged some where. The idle is way unstable and shakes when I try to rev it up.
