Hey everyone,
I have an '09 Nissan Rogue, and it has been having this weird vibration when idle. I took it in to the Nissan dealership for a tune up, was told this was a common problem in Florida, and the guy recommended a fuel induction service. My car has about 65k miles on it. Is this something I should have done?

they told you its normal- and then RECOMMENDED a service. think about that for a second.

if they didnt repair the problem, there is no problem. they are simply trying to up-sell you a service you dont need.

I'd say take it to a different dealership, or better yet, find a reputable local independent repair shop.

as i have stated in prior threads on this exact topic, 4cyl engines are not the most stable engines. the less cylinders = the more vibrations. also its got less power, so when the A/C clutch engages, it throws the engine into an imbalance. it stabilizes. i'd also clean your MAF sensor.

you didnt tell us a few key points:
1. do the lights dim when its vibrating?
2. how strong is this vibration?
3. whats the rpm before, during, after the vibration?
