Long story short i reset my timing(2nd notch from the left on the crank) and pulled the dizzy out and stuck it back in with the circle at the top. .The car starts and idles fine for about a minute or 2 then it dies. .also when you press the throttle the car doesn't rev it sputters then dies. Could this be 1 tooth off?

You can make a mark on the dist. for #1 plug. Bring engine to tdc on compression stroke. Then pull cap off and see if it lines with the rotor. If not pull it back out and reset it. Start engine and warm it up. Stop engine, unplug tps sensor to put computer in base timing mode. Now start engine and set timing with a timing light. If the dist won't turn far enough one way or the other you may have to pull dist back out and move one notch in that direction. I have had to do this several times on a friends car because he do not get engine in base timing first. After you get it set then turn engine off reconnect tps sensor. Unhook the battery to clear code form ECU.

Got it running but here's the way i did it. Unplugged the battery and tps, then i reset the timing (2nd notch from the left ) and pulled the dizzy out and took the cap of and lined it up with Cylinder #1 and voalah!! it runs but now has a unstable idle? Like a loping. .I'll put a video up here tomorrow. . And how can you tell if a car is warmed up, if it idles like crap?

ok..first off..you did this wrong from the start..you set to TDC when timing the cams..thats it..base timing for the dizzy thou is 20 degree's befor TDC..so all you have to do..is find TDC..back the crank down to 20BTDC and re install the dizzy to fire on #1..then your base is set...good luck bro..keep us posted.

ok..now that the base timing is setup..you need to fine tune it with a light ect....allso..if your boosted...you may need to setup the boost controller too..if your not boosted..then advance a little at a tim and ajust the idle with the idle air screw to find the place in the idle that soulds good to you.

i would love to watch your video..but photobucket said hell no!..if its idling like crap..slow down and recheck your timing, plug wires..and dizzy man..its one of the 3.you may only be off by 1 tooth and it will run like crap..so take your time..
