Idle

I have a 1992 240sx HB, I am new to the forum I was wondering why my car sputers at idle, i have no loss of power. I got a custom exhaust put on a year ago and I eliminated the resinator. but this didnt start happening till like 4 months ago i have had it in the shop to get a starter put in and they fixed a few vacume leaks that i had and it stoped for a week but it is back. I have done really good maintance always on time with oil changes, and other required fields at the time needed.

i think this is an idle problem, it would not be a sputter though, it would have a looping sound and you would be listening all over for a slight his, if you find it you need a intake manifold gasket or it could be an old vaccum line, also as your engine rpm increases, your vacuum decreases so it would run normal say at 2500rpm,if its not vacuum check for bad plugs wires coil distributor cap and rotor and go from thier
