Hey guys,

I have an odd problem want to see if anyone else runs into the same problem.... I have a 2008 2.5 Coupe, and after about 15 to 20 minutes of driving and I come to a stop the idle will drop low enough where it feels like the car is going to stall but then kicks back up immediately... Not quite sure why its doing that its never done it before i kinda though it might have something to do with my K&N typhoon intake but its been on for about 6 months now and no prior problems.... so I'm not quite sure what this could be if you guys have any ideas I would love to hear em.. Dealer wont do s*it for me saying they cant help me unless they see it do it and of course i cant get it to do it in front of them... right now im ready to choke the dealership...

Thanks in advance,Josh

I've noticed it on mine too. I have 15k miles 08 2.5

I have a stock intake with stock filter.

Don't know where this applies but I do have 2 Alpine Type R 10's?

Does anyone know about this? Today when I got home, I noticed that it sound like my car wanted to shut off or stall. I looked at the rpms and it was at about 750rpms. That's while parked.

Mine has been doing this as well lately and I also have a K&N Typhoon. I have a ground wire kit, but no audio upgrades.

My altima only has 4000 miles on it and it's always had a shaky idle if I drive for a while and then put it in park and sit. The idle drops really low and the whole car shakes

It could be your MAF sensor. Not saying it is but it is a possibility. Try removing it carefully and cleaning it with electronic cleaner, autozone etc. has it.
And the only reason that one person was mentioning subs is because if you have subs and their up loud producing bass it will draw more power from the alternator causing the rpm's to go down,/lights dimming etc. But that will only happen if you have your radio loud/bass hitting hard.

Your cone filter is probably attached to the intake tubing by a worm drive clamp. Tighten it with a ratchet, not just a screwdriver. You said it's been on there for six months, and chances are you've hit quite a few bumps since then. A loose air filter on an aftermarket intake can cause at least some of the symptoms described in this thread.

I had a funky idle and a SES light. It finally went away when my cone filter fell off and into my K&N's heat shield. If it's not on tight enough, that can cause a bad seal and inconsistent airflow, which can throw off your MAF. Before you go messing with the MAF sensor, ensure that everything ahead of the MAF isn't the culprit.

In fact, your intake tubing itself is probably attached to the throttle body by another worm drive clamp. Make sure that's on there good and tight, too.
