I just put in my new throttle position sensor from my last Idle problem post. It works great now but when the car is warmed up, the idle isn't stable. From the description of the part, i think its my air regulator. I rebuilt my IACV but never even took out the air regulator.

It kinda goes up an down but like from 850 (where i have it set to) to like 950 more or less.
It's not a huge deal, it doesn't effect the performance but i do want it fixed.
No rush. THanks

Actually, another question.

Is there a way to adjust it, like fine tune the idle so it stays put. within +-50 rpm of 850

The only proper way to adjust the idle is to unplug the AAC then adjust the idle screw on the side of the driver side of the IACV unit until it's at 650. While it's running, plug it back in. It should go up and settle at 750. The AAC controls the idle speed, not the base adjustment screw. That only sets the base so it won't stall when you are at speed and take your foot off the accellerator.

If it still wanders or idles low you have other issues that need to be tested for.

I would take the Air Reg off and test it to see if it's closed once warmed up. If it sticks open it will give you high idle, but not an unstable one.

The idle isn't high nor low. I set it fine and it works great but the idle bounces sometimes. Not all the time though.

I have another engine so I can work on that one and replace and test things on that because this engine in my car now is poop anyway haha. 194k miles, i think its time to swap
