Well, I'm not an expert in the idle circuit for an auto transmission...but the neutral idle is way too high.
Are you experiencing any other symptoms of poor running...i.e. high fuel consumption (probably goes without saying, with an idle that high), surging, hestitation, black smoke, anything like that.
When did it start exhibiting this behavior?
Is the ECU throwing any codes?
My 240 was idling WAY too high all the time...in neutral, it would be at like 1500, even when warmed up. It was due to a fouled O2 sensor. Replaced the sensor, cleaned out the intake manifold, and boom, runs perfecto.
