Idle problems

S14 95 5speed... I drive the car for a little bit down the street take out of gear and the idle drops and rises below 500 and rises to 1100 for 3-4 times before becoming stable...odd?...now replaced thermo stat and changed hoses to silicone idle is pretty unstable bled out coolant but still same problem if anything a slight worse..eveythin plugged back and hoses clamped correctly..any 1 have a good idea or answer?? Would appreciate slot if helped...

check for vaccumm leaks!

i checked left an right up n down no codes or vacuum leaks....i have a short ram and test pipe but id think tha would cause anything...02 sensors working and reading...i think im change every single vacuum hose and see wat happens alot of its old cracked and worn but keep u guys posted hopefully gets better...pre-ob2's suk but good, u can check codes with a scanner...

i believe it can also be a bad o2 sensor or clogged up cat. if you know someone try swapping them out and see of that works!

I got new o2 and af senosors...but Il double Check them and running a testpipe

About 98% of 240 owners have this problem. There's a pretty good chance it has nothing to do with your coolant or thermostat. 80% of the time, that problem is solved by fixing vaccuum leaks and cleaning/ fixing the IAC Valve. But 68% of statistics are made up, so who knows

But seriously, clean your IACV.

Damn I completely forgot about that IACV cuz first thing in the am my car turns righ on but sorta boggs then catchs it's breath and settles the idle and warms up...crzy customers have starting problem and it's usually the IACV thanks il Chek that and see wat goes...

my car is having the same problem, and it has nothing to do with the vacuum hoses or anything of the sort. I have replaced almost everything and still cant fix it and it only happens in the heat, once everything starts heating up is when it messes up an leaves me stranded ..it may be the fuel pump but ill be changing that next
