Idle problems need help

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Vehicle is a 1993 240sx coupe w/ a ka24de and a 5speed transmission

I cleaned the maf with some cleaner we have hear at work

i can pull the plug to the maf and the car will idle fine.with the maf connected the car will fluctuate at idle from 400rpm up to about 1300rpm and some times die.but everywhere above 2000rpm its smooth

I have not cleaned the iac valve yet but i just installed a different intake main i got from someone on the boards off of a motor that was pulled.all lines are plugged except the fuel pressure regulator and the iac. their is no egr on the vehicle also.pcv system is vented to atmosphere with a filter and the intake mani has the ports capped.

Also in the intake piping there is a big hose that supplys the air for the iac valve their is also a smaller port on the intake piping. where should that connect too?I have it capped right now.ids added

Maf connected, iac blocked off and throttle plate open to keep idle. when the rpm's rise over 2000 rpm that was me tapping the throttlehttp://s243.photobucket.com/al...1.flv

the loud rattle noise in the vids is the exhaust heat shield.

Maybe your MAF sensor is screwed up.

would a maf sensor not rear at idle and then work great from 2000rpm and above ?

idk but for some reason when i turn my car on it goes to around 1300rpms and then drops to like 350-400rpms and then it evens out to like 700rpms and stays there
