idle problems I NEED HELP!!

i have a idle problem, when i first start the engine, it will go up to 1000 rpm, then drop fast down to about 200-300 rpm, then back up again...and sometimes when it goes down, it just DIES!! sometimes though. and also when im at a stop, the rpm needle bobs up and down, 1000 down to 200 and etc and the car shakes a whole lotI NEED HELP

wut is the AIV? EGR? and wutever the rest are??????

EGR wouldn't do that. Are you sure you don't just have a vacuum line unplugged or something?

sounds like your IACV or AAC (they're the same thing). there is an explanation on how to test it in any manual you can pick up. basically hook up +12 and ground to the wires for the IACV and see if you can hear a click (while the engine is off). if so, it's working. if not, it's not.

it could be the bolt on the egr solenoid on the intake collector. The epoxy used to seal the bolt cracks an leaks.
