idle problem.

when my car is in neutral its fine. but when i have it in drive its fine for10 secs. then it jumps from 1100 rpm to 600 rpm about 5 times the goes to 1050 rpm. when im moving there is no problem but when i stop then it starts. does anyone have the same prob.

I had the exact same problem and it was caused by the EGR valve sticking. I just bought some carb cleaner and cleaned that thing out. I'm not saying that this will definitely work for you and you may need to replace the EGR valve, but it would definitely be worth your time to try to clean that thing out.
