idle problem

Anyone here have this problem. When i put the car in gear then press the brake rpm drops. I havent seen cars do this since the sixties and seventies. Yes i did the accelerator and volume learning. Idle and timing are correct. Just when i sit at light idle is around 650 and slightly ruff. Just doesnt seem right. any ideas would be appreciated. Oh this is a nissan sentra 2007 2L.

Hey ferdie!

The idle should drop slightly with a load on the engine (in gear, brake on) - that's totally normal, even on a brand new car. However, it shouldn't be a rough idle.

Miles on your Sentra? Any CEL?
