Idle problem

As I pull up to a stop light or stop sign I push the clutch and put the car in neutral and then let the clutch out and apply the brakes, then my car will start to fluctuate idle from about 300 to 700rpms then it will die if i don't hit the throttle. The only way it will stay on is if i press the clutch in and keep it in gear, which i would prefer not to do at a stop light because i think thats whats causing my trans problems.

Do you ave your bov recirculated? Also do you still have all the vacuum lines for the evap canaster hooked up?

yes and no but i have them capped.

Propbably just need to adjust throttle screw a little then adjust idle screw on idle air control valve (iacv) after
