Idle problem

Whenever I turn the Heat/AC on in my car my idle drops from 1000 to about 600-500 and even 400 sometimes...What could be causing this?

I advanced the timing a little but this started happening before the advancement of the timing.

Also I never changed my spark plugs or wires since I got the car approximately 6 months ago.Which is long overdue I know but I will change them this weekend.

Check the idle air control valve.

Is this when you first start your car? or after its been running for a while?

Paul Wall what should I be checking for when I check the Idle air control valve?

Funano this is a stock Ka24de motor.

Oh I see. In that case Paul might be right. Try adjusting your idol controll because after you drive for a while your car should go down to about 800rpm idle. Drive around for a while and see if you idol at about 800rpm. If it idols lower then that then you should adjust idol controll.
