My friend has just installed a 91 Ka24de on a datsun 510.He turbo charge it with stock internals. The only problem you turn on the car it idle fine but if u rev it a couple times it turns off. Does the same when he is driving it and his coming to a stop it wants to turn off. He has changed practically all the sensors and it is still happening. Any idea why it is doing this. FYI the car has no brake booster.

Does it idle fine from cold start but not after it's warmed up? The air regulator helps with idling at cold start but after the car warms up the AAC and FICD valves control idle. Might want to check into the AAC valve. You can probably pull up a search on the AAC and how to clean up the spring assembly.

If you're not familiar with those valves, they're located on the back of the upper intake plenum attached to the IAA. That's the plate bolted to the back of the upper intake plenum that the FICD and the AAC are connected to. The spring assembly is in the IAA and you'll have to remove that to check it out.

Hope that helps!

errr, you said KA24DE... I'm pretty sure it's still the same basic principle, just not sure on the location of those items with the DE. Somebody will probably need to verify some of that for me.

this could be an ecu problem, i have a truck that has an aftermarket chip in it (its an old truck, so it actually does something) but because of the chip it doesnt like to idle in gear, so it gets two footed to keep it running
