the fact that its running great i dont think its your timing nor tps. I am thinking a dirty iacv. to clean it take the idle screw out and spray carb cleaner in there and if you have an air compressor blow air in there. see if this helps. also check for code 22 on your ecu if you get this code its your iacv. let us know

to check for codes...

turn key on...turn screw fully clockwise and hold for atleast 2 seconds....then turn it back fully counterclockwise and you will see a series of flashes..

for example....it will flash once (followed by a very short pause) flash again (followed by another very short pause) and then flash again (followed by a longer pause than the previous ones). after this pause it will flash once (then very quickly after)flash again which would be twice (very quickly after this one) three (very quickly after this one) fourth...this is a code 34. which would be knock sensor.

zerothread?id=32578 (<---- list of codes for sr)

The idle screw is located on the iacv. that is the screw between the 3rd and 4th runner on your intake manifold. pull it out and clean with carb cleaner and air hose if you have it.

cool man glad i could help. you dont even know how lucky you are that cleaning it solved the problem..did you look at how hard that would have been to replace that whole thing...I am having the same problem right now with my iacv but cleaning it didnt help. i had to pay 230 dollars for a brand new one and gaskets ..im going to be pulling off the manifold and putting it on tomorrow. but congrats to ya man
