Vehicles now days need a specific amount of voltage to operate properly. If the battery cables, connections,or battery itself are bad this will cause this condition.Check and make sure you have a body to engine to chassie grd.and connections are clean. If these are in good order than you probably have a alternator output problem, low voltage or amperage which may require alternator replacement. If when you start your car and the warning lights stay on this is a good indicator of alt.problem.
