idle problem,no freewaypassing power,no power here and then

im having problems with my car idling the way it used to after it was in a body shop for about 2 1/2 months 3 months due to body work and paint work at a shop frnt bumper reinforcement new bumper cover. and dents from the fenders. car was striped....

ever since i got it it idles at cold start about 1100 rpms for about 1 minute, then drops to about 500rpm and trys to regulate it self for like that for a minute then dies, sometimes takes 2 minutes....

sometimes it sputters i hear it from the mufflers and it becomes a turtle ,sometimes it knocks... sometimes i hear a squeaks from belts. i know i need my belts replace cus they squeak when they get wet....

i pinched the 12mm hose coming from the air intake on the passanger side of the car, facing the car front end just below the throtle body. i dont hear any noise when i pinch the hose and but the car drops just a tiny bit takes about 30 secs and it drops just a bit . on the right side of the engine if i pinch that same hose, i hear the air im stopping when i pinch it, and engine tends to die......

vaccum leak? aicv valce?

i put new plugs and clean that carbon tip on the coils for sparkplubg conection....used fine sand paper.....pcv valve i think only one got change long ago. never gave problem tho..... please help please help i love my z.

I would suspect somthing with the MAF. they might have jolted it or dropped it so that the little wire in there broke. try taking it out and see if it doesnt change. if u get the same result replace it

have you verified the car is runing on all 6 cylinders? if the cr runs on all 6 cylinders, has no vac leaks and no codes then the aicv or air regulator are the next suspects

Having a similar Problem, IACV and Air regulator were part of the problem, but It still idles at like 1000 most of the time.OP Please post back your fix cause I'm just scratching my head on this one?
