Hey guys, on a cold engine my idle seems to fluctuate from the normal 1100 rpm down to 500 rpm, and back up and down. Once the engine reaches normal operating temp. it seems to do fine, the usual 700 rpm. Any ideas as to what could be causing this, maybe a temp. sensor, throttle body, leaky injector or something. It did seem like my car ran better in the last week since I cleaned my temp. sensor connection and put dielectric grease inside it, but I am still having this idle problem from time to time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

yea the problem might be your IACV valve sticking. Just take it out and blow it with some carb cleaner and see how that does.

well its nt so easy to take out... first just try taking off the vacuum hose attached to it and then shooting inside that sumbitch with intake cleaner...

Is the iacv located beneath the throttle body and is the hose that small one underneath the throttle body also?
