Idle problem and a lot of smoke.

First, the motor will not idle very well and sometimes dies on a cold start. When it is warm it will idle high and then drop down and almost die and back up again repeatedly. Second, the exhaust spews out a ton of white smoke which I would think is the turbo seals but the turbo is rebuilt with maybe 3 miles on it. It drives fine once it gets going but I have not checked to see if the smoke comes out while driving it. Im sure someone has had a similar problem that can help me out.

I took the turbo apart and there was oil from the manifold all the way to the turbine wheel, so I guess my turbo is done but I guess I'll never trust a rebuilt turbo again. It used almost all of the oil in the motor, so now I'm worried about motor damage as I thought it had a squeaking belt. I still would like to know how to fix the idle.
