I have followed the instructions in the FSM to check the high idle problem. i pinched that hose an air hose ( i have an injen intake, the one which a t-connector) , the idle drops like normal ( fm 1000 -> 750) i suspect the regulator is faulty. is there anyway to fix it or how can i get one? has anyone replaced it b4? thanks

if you pinched that line you basically choked the engines only air intake( if its the inch diameter hose going to the intake manifold) the car should of died or came very close to it. unless the car wasnt warmed up. If the throttle plate is closed and you pinch off the only line coming from fresh air to intake, where is the engine suppose to get its 14.7 parts of air for that 1 part fuel?

you could have an intake air leak somewhere.

it would be after the throttle plate, like intake manifold gasket or some othe gasket on the intake manifold, or even a vaccum line off.

the fact is there are many reasons for a high idle and not all of them are your air valves. I had a high idle accompany my oxygen sensor just before it died.
