Idle/Powersteering problems...

Hi I have a 91 s13 with a Ka24de and I recently installed a new alternator because it was going out and before that my idle was normal at .750 rpms but sine I have installed the new alternator my idle is at .850 and when my s13 in neutral it is rough and some what putting.. also there is a winding noise that sounds like it is coming from my powersteering pump?? If I rev high quickly my belts squeks? Any answers?? sugestions?? thank you for your time and help

Check to make sure that the belts are not too tight or too loose.
