i recently put in a 96 KA in my 91 and everything was fine but now the idle is messed up. it idles at like a 1000 rpm or more, even when its warm, does anyone have any tips on what could be wrong? perhaps a vacum leak?

i had a problem with high idle, i tore apart the intake twice looking for vacuum leaks, couldnt find anything. turns out it was just my coolant temp sensor connector was all gummed up. id check that first and make sure its nice and clean.

I dont know what you did with the A/C when ou switched over but if you didnt hook up a belt and left the system in tact electrically mayb eyou have the A/C button on so the idle is being bumped up? just a suggestion?

follow your upper rad hose into the engine. closest to the engine will be three plugs i beleive, first one is red i think, the temp sensor is the small black one next to it. just unplug it and clean it. or just to be safe unplug them all and clean them haha i couldnt hurt.

If that doesnt work, check to make sure your throttle cable has some slack in it, and isnt holding the throttle slightly open.

you might also want to check the idle air control and throttle position sensor. the latter is very sensitive to slight movement if the screws arnt tight.
