Idle issues?

Hi I have a 1996 d21 2x4 pickup. It just started to not idle. Unless I have the a/c on. If the a/c is not on. The truck will have a low idle and just dies, or it will start to idle and the idle will pulsate for a little while (just like the computers trying to run in fail safe mode or it's trying to relearn something) Not sure whats happening. Maybe someone has a idea need the help. Aloha

I'd start by pulling the spark plugs. A lot of major issues will make itself apparent by 'reading' a plug.

hey man I had a 89 hardbody that had the nap z engine.. I know its not that ka24e but I had the same problem.. I went all through the electrical and thought it would be the distributor because it was burned up alittle here when i put the new one on it worked for a sec and then did the same thing. Here all a long it was a cracked coil.. check yours man its a good chance.
