If you are having a idle issue and have replaced you dist. cap, but a week or so later it comes back check this...

The rubber seal between the cap and dist. gets dirty. So it lets in moisture and eventually builds up inside there(mine wasnt on the 4 points but inside the long tube part down the side that sends the juice to the rotor) like the corrosion build up on battery terminals. So even though you have just replaced it ,,it will do it some more.. Just a little help and one more thing to look at when hunting down an idle issue on the 240s...Clean it up(the seal) and if still doing it after a new dist. cap, look at something else to be causing it

I would think the seal is there to prevent that so you might want to get a new seal. Did you get it from nissan or an auto store?

Also, help the poor seal by applying some silicone grease to seal out any moisture.
