Idle goes up when I'm coasting over bumps or when I come to a stop

I noticed that my car seems to idle lower and run better in 60 degree weather compared to 80 degree weather.

But what tends to happen to my car is that when I'm coming to a stop, I'll push the clutch in and take my foot off the gas. The RPMs will go up to 1500-2000 for about ten seconds and slowly go down. Sometimes it'll go down to 1100, sometimes it'll go down to 700.

Another time I parked my car while it was running and wiggled things under the hood to see if it made a difference. Before I even did anything the idle shot up to 1500 all by itself and slowly went back down to 1000 before going up again and settling down to normal idle.

What would you guys recommend I try fixing before I yank the IACV off? I need the car to get around so I'm a bit afraid I'll break something.

This only happens when the clutch is engaged/disengaged?

Several things to check:1 - Check for a sticking EGR valve. 2 - Replace air filter if dirty.3 - Check for a vacuum leak.

I changed my fuel filter becuase I've been meaning to for a while and now all my idle problems are gone! Maybe an old and clogged fuel filter was causing the fuel delivery to be inconsistent.

Regardless, thank you guys for your help! :D
