idle drops and car dies

sometimes when I start the car the idle will drop and the car will die (doesnt happen if i pump the gas) This also happens when I drive and as soon as I stop the idle will drop and the car will die. If theres no throttle play the car will die.

Whats going on?

vacuum leak?

I started noticing something wrong about 3 days ago when I would have to put my foot a little further down on the gas pedal and I could hear my turbo spooling up!

Now the car randomly dies whenever I stop but thats if I can even get it to start.

Oh and also the car wont go higher than 3-4000 rpm and i backfire like a guy doing a drum roll!

Oh and I have a recirc for my turbo dunno if that means anything

mine did the same thing. i tryed messing with timing and every thing dont.! its should be your throttle plate the seat on the throttle body probly just backed out. start the car and have some one give it gas to keep it alive then adjust the throttle plate and set your idle.

as for the back back fire and as low rev check your timing it should be 12 deg. from cylinder 1 or your MAF is starting to die. you can buy a new maf from osaka for 110 shipped if you havent messed with the cas or any thing it shouldnt be your timing. my car did the same thing because of a broken maf so good luck to ya.

Check your IACV.Check the Idle Screw.Check Timing.Check Vacuum Hoses.

Your answer should be there somewhere.
