when i'm breaking in neutral or when just with my e-brake in no gear and i keep stepping on the break pedal my lights on my dash dim and my rpm begins to fall and will stay at a level, then step on it some more and it drops, but when i let go it bounces back up again to normal.

example, braking to a stop sign, my rpms could be at like 300rpm.

i haven't gotten it to stall yet (cause i don't want to) but I bet it will.i've run seafoam through my brake booster line before and have seen no leaks, and I did this recently so I don't think its that line, can't find any answers.

Check your power, man. That happened to me and I guess my break lights were taking ignition power when it got really low. At that point even turning on my headlights dropped it around 100 rpms.

My car was the same way. It got enough juice to start (usually), and it ran normally without the headlights on. Eventually it advanced to the point where it would crank and spark but not quite enough to start. I even replaced the battery just in case. It was the terminal connectors. Seems obvious, sure... but I would have sworn that it wasn't the problem. It's worth $5 to check it out.

I just put on the oil breather thing so there was a small leak coming from my intake side where I had thought I had pluged it up. but fixed it and double checked the filter end too, now it doesnt do drop to like 100 rpm, now it only drops maybe 100rpm, which is normal, hell my dads bone stock prelude SI RPM drop below idle when you brake, but you don't feel it in the shifter for some reason, stupid new cars. heh

so it drops from like 870rpm idle to about 760rpm to be exact (I got SAFC II installed)

oh and I cleaned my connectors a little bit ago with some steel wool.

the 'ludes shifter isn't bolted directly to the transmission, like our cars.

my cars having the same problem, and what i've come up with is the IAA vavle.the idle air control vavle needs to be replaced or ajusted...uh thought imnot positive. but im saving up (new vavle from midway is around 80$) and then ima replace it, in the next 2 weeks (payday)if it fixes it i'll be sure to let you know.
