I can not get my car to idle right. went the car is warmed up the best i can get is 1000 rpm. in orded to get this i have the idle screw all the way in (should stall at idle), retarded thetiming all the way. If left set right it does not drop below 200 rpm I have replaced CTS, Iacv, intake manifold gasket, all vacuum lines, rep-laced ecu with a different one (used OE with same number letter combo), head gasket, 4 fuel injectors, and set timing with light to 25 BTDC. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

...is there an idle screw on the ECU of your S13? I know mine, a KA24E, has a little screw that can also adjust idle somewhat.

See if your TPS is calibrated correctly. That alone can cause a high idle.

Forgot to mention the new tps. It is clocked correct. Like 1 ohm closed and like 8 ohms wide open give or take. I did that in May i think.. I used the service manual specs. The only screw is to put it in test mode.

There is an adjustment screw on/in the air idle control valve. Did you try turning that? It's a phillips head, sometimes plastic, sometimes metal. There's also the backstop screw on the throttle body, but I'm assuming this is what you have adjusted before.

Have you done a 5 speed swap and if so are you still using the automatic ECU?

The screw on the idle air valve is the one i have all the way in. The car should stall at idle with that setting. When left set to spec it idles around 1800-2200 rpm. No swap to 5 speed on the car but the guys at the shop that took me trans. appart 2-3 years ago seem the think that the replacement motor that was put into the car at some point in its life came from an AT car. There reasoning was the output shaft was longer than it should be (for the torque converter). They went threw 3 pilot bushings when it went back together.
