Can anyone help? For some reason when I am in neutral my car idles @ 700 then goes down to 500 then back up. When the a/c is on it goes from 1100 to 900 and back up. When it does this I hear a little click from the dash area. If someone can help me out that would be great. It is 95 240sx w/110,000 +

Just set your idle. It should go away. First, find the adjustment screw on the IAA valve. With the car off, rotate the screw out so it's pretty far out, so as to give yourself some adjustability. Now start the car and warm it up. Now shut it off and unplug the Throttle Position sensor. Then Turn it on again and warm it up, then use the screw to set the idle. You'll probably want to set the timing too as long as you're already in the mode to do it.

everyone seems to be having idle problems and hard cold starts.

like me as well... tomorrow im gonna hit up a junkyard and replace my idle air control valve.

today i kept turning the screw tons of way to get my car to start and each time i kept turning the screw just a little bit my car would start then and seem to idle for 30 seconds and stalls out, and I go out and again and turn the screw somemore and try staring the car and each time it feels like its getting better but still stalling.. so i'm guessing my idle air control valve is dead.

You don't always have to replace it most of the time it's just dirty and I bet the junkyard one would be dirty to!! start by cleaning it with carb cleaner if it still is messed up then get one from a junkyard
