I was almost to the point of taking a sledgehammer to this motor. I spent a lot of time cleaning the TB and ran some engine cleaner throught he brake booster hose, and removed one of those idle system doo-dads, but nothing ever helped. I changed my cap and rotor, plugs, and put some used plug wires i had from a honda motor (but kept stock coil wire). Nothing changed the problems, although it ran a bit smoother
Last week, I installed an MSD, which didnt help, then i Installed a Crane ignition, and stuff went downhill from there. The car refused to idle at all. I even put the car back to stock and the problems persisted. I thought I killed something important. BUT -
Friday, my NGK spark plug wires came in. All of my problems disappeared. I love my 240 again, and Im back on my Crane ignition w/ rev limiter, boost timing and blaster II coil :ylsuper
