I know this topic has been covered before but i was wondering if the process to adjust your idle would be the same with an aftermarket (greddy) intake manifold? my car is idling pretty fast- 1200-1300rpm. my tps and maf voltage are correct and i just set the timing. everything seems good except the friggin idle...

Idle Air control motor its located ont he bottom of the intake manifold. It uses a phillips or flat head you tunr it in our out to adjust idle.

actually my idle was way off... like around 1700 rpm and it was real rough and running rich. earlier in the day I had made a slight adjustment to get my tps voltage right on .4. it was bouncing around between .38 and .4 so i figured i should try to get it right. i got the voltage right at .4 but then, after a quick drive, i noticed my idle was all funky. in hind sight i shoulda just left the tps where it was because it was running fine before this - idle was at 900, timing was dead on. so i guess it wasn't worth it.

Remember to disconnect the TPS first. The adjust it down to about 700rpm. When you reconnect the TPS it will jump back up to ~800rpm.

sounds like all you need to do is adjust your tps voltage back..it should be between .45v and .55v at idle.
