Im currently buying new 17" rims for my nissan altima coupe (2.5s). I want to drop it but i dont know how much exactly would be good? I want it too be nice, low, and slammed,i understand i am bound to scrape a bit at times but dont want to go crazy. Any Help?

If it is a daily driver I wouldn't go anything below 1.5" but that is strictly personal. Also don't get lowering springs, the car will bounce and scrap too much. If you do decide to go with lowering springs you will need stiffer shocks as well. Best bet is to go with coil overs and set it to a ride height you are comfortable with (you don't need new shocks). If you plan on lowering your car and you plan on doing it right set aside around $1500 for it.

if you wanna slam the car Coilovers
if you want a drop but still wheel gap then lowering springs. ive had H&r lowering springs for 4 years with stock shocks lowered the car a bit but still wheel gap. (no problems)
on D2 coilovers now. should of done this from the beginning. wheel gap gone and lower :bigthumb:

Welcome to NICO!

Whatever you do, be sure to get a proper alignment after you install them! H&R springs, Tein S Tech springs, or Eibach springs will likely get you all you are looking for.

Glad you went with coilovers. Springs are a waste of money on our cars imo. it barely does anything for drop/body roll.
