Idiot lights suddenly turn on and car brakes automatically

My BRAND NEW '14 Nissan Versa just completely stopped on me on the road. Brake, battery, and oil lights all came on, and the brake applied itself. I just barely managed to get out of the middle of the road and had to force park rightin the middle of the O'Reily parking lot (yeah, those guys weren't any freaking help at all!). Turned my engine back on, and everything was fine again. I checked everything under the hood, and the tires. Everything was just fine, nothing wrong, low, or broken at all.

What happened? Anyone? This car is great, it has never given any trouble at all, and it is only at 3,100 miles now.

Are you sure the brakes applied? It sounds like the engine shut off, and depending on the transmission you have, the combination of engine-braking and the transmission fighting it might have felt like braking. In any case, you're well within warranty, and it sounds like you need to take advantage of it! I've never heard of anyone having that problem, and we've put a few miles on the four we've had without anything close.
