What's involved in getting the "washer fluid low" idiot light to work? Apparently it only works for Canadian models, but US models ship with a twist base + bulb in its spot anyway! If I drive across the border, will it light up?
The "door open" warning light only lights up for the two rear passenger doors and the liftgate/glass hatch, and not for either of the front doors. Is that what's supposed to happen? Owner's manual says if any of the doors are open with the ignition "ON," it'll light.
The owner's manual and FSM say that if the windshield wiper lever is moved to the "wash" position to spray the nozzles, the wiper will also operate several times (in the same manner as the "wash" action for the rear wiper). This doesn't happen, even if I hold the lever in the "wash" position for several seconds. FSM states "This feature is controlled by the wiper amplifier in the same manner as the intermittent operation." (EL-156, 2001.5 FSM), but the intermittent wiper operation works, so it's not the wiper amplifier at fault probably. Anybody got a clue how to fix that?
Is the answer to my first two questions to verify whether the wires necessary for the two lights' operation actually exist in the respective wiring harnesses? Obviously the "A/T OIL TEMP" does have the necessary wiring, at least for the warning lamp itself, but where does it read this temperature from?
