Sorry, I just had to let this out somewhere...

There is a kid near me that just bought an 89 240 coupe base model with a blown engine, auto transmission, no ABS, PS, or LSD, minor body damage and a little rust to top it off...

Now, this sounds like a good project car for $200, or even $600. He paid $2000 for the car. I guess thats the price that you have to pay to be an import street racer.

Just for the books, the other car that this kid drives is a 2000 civic HX that he bought NEW... its a 1.5 liter engine with NOS... and i would be suprised if he could so much as go over the top of a hill without scraping.

:rolleyes some people will never learn. Luckily I bought my 90 coupe for 1900 and it looks like it just rolled off the show room floor But that kid is just plain stupid.

To be quite honest you Americans pay a lot for any kind of "import" vehicles by comparision to the rest of the planet from what I see.

We're also the only country dumb enough to pay a little bit more for a car because it has a differnt badge. Look at the whole Ford/Mercury thing, and the Dodge/Plymouth Neon thing. We are also the only country that I know of to have Acuras. They are just hondas everywhere else. Us superior Americans didn't think Honda could build a luxury car way back when, but those Acuras are REAL nice!

Of course I'm talking about the general populus, not car enthiasiasts.

well, maybe there are no 240s areound for that kid to buyi had to pay 1200 for one in almost similar condition just because i couldnt find a nicer one. Mine ran though and the body wasnt that bad and its not auto, and it has power steering...now that i think about it...that kid really does suck
