Just did a 0-90 run with my TPS disconnected...FML...forgot to re-connect it after doing some diagnostics.

Flame on...

With as short of a run as this was, could this have really internally affected the engine at all? I mean I know it could have but how likely is it?

Does the TPS play much of a role in the timing?

Compression test results:

1: 60psi
2: 60psi
3: 62psi
4: 74psi
5: 79psi
6: 78psi

Wowie. I will say that I tested them prior to this incident and got similar results, perhaps a hair higher on the first three but I don't quite remember. Either way, haven't been blowing blue smoke and have had a steady oil level via dipstick monitoring...so, hmmm...felt really fast up until this point, and now it is running intermittently on 4, 5, and 6 cylinders it sounds like. Really weird.

You need to find another compression tester because there is no way all of your cylinders are that evenly low. Thats the kind of compression you'd expect from a cylinder with a broken ring land.

im sure the engine will be fine...i've seen engines dogged at drift events with half of the wiring incomplete and dead sensors left and right.

you need to comp test with 1) no spark plugs in the motor, 2) motor hot, and 3) at WOT.
results are consistent but low, gauge would be suspect.

Gauge is new but I know less about mechanicing than I'd like to think I do so I'm sure that no spark plugs in would help haha I can't believe I did it that way actually.

I do demote myself to rookie biatch status though because I freaked out about some wiring that I knocked loose earlier this afternoon pre-TPS run fail. I thought that my little speed run with the TPS jacked stuff up when it was really myself getting a little rough with an extension on a ratchet while trying to tighten something.

I've got a lot to learn...
