Ok, so there is an S30 around the corner from my house. It's on a piece of run down property (with a house), I've been eye balling it for about 3 years now and it has never moved. I about have the nerve worked up to knock on the door and inquire about it, but I'm curious to what specific model it is. It's not a 2+2, and I think the reverse lights are separate from the tail lights, (tails look all red). That's about all I can see from the road, what do you guys think? Thanks!

Sounds like either a 260 or a 280.

Thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna try and get a better look at it tomorrow. If I end up talking to the owner and make an offer I'll let you know. Thanks again.

I actually stumbled across a 240Z for sale today. It has the usual rust in the usual places, but personally, how rusty is too rusty in your opinion? The car is complete, running, all electrical works, and the guy is asking $800, what do you think?

If your into a little sheet metal repair, go for it. I personally hate doing that stuff. I searched high and low and did find a 70 that has very very little rust. They are out there, you pay more $$, you just have to look for them.

The metal work doesn't bother me so much since I'm a fabricator by trade, but it does need a hatch, hood, bumpers, and come to find out, a lot of Z parts are expensive! I'll definatly jack it up and take a closer look before I decide to buy it.

Did your Z show up yet gamc ? Can't wait for the build thread.

A lot of 240z in my area are fitted with a SBC, which only limits my search.

Yes, I'm going to work on it today. Long story short, they could not deliver to my house because the truck driver had a "thing" about snow and trees. They delivered it to my work (a big Hangar) out at the airport. Now I have to wait until my freind can get his trailer.

Pictures are coming soon.
