Identify this wire ?

ive been having intermittent illumination problems on my dash and my HUD...they only work 25% of the time....i replaced my TCU and all fuses and nothing changed....so right now i ripped apart my dash and found at least 1 burnt up wire coming from my climate controls....i believe it was green before it started to burn up....it is on the farthest left plug, furthest wire to the left....is that an illumination wire?? fi so i think i found the source of my problem....i wish i had an digital camera to take a picutre of this

no i dont want a girl with an STD....and its an 89 coupe....i traced the wire all the way throught the harness over where my gauge cluster is and the wire then goes down and it seems out into the motor or something....i cant follow it anymore...idk what it controls but now my gauge cluster nothing works on it...is there something else beside the plugs that go to the bcak of the cluster that need to be hooked up to make it work??

I am unable to find the illumination wire for the climate control deck in the wiring diagram, but everything else that gets illuminated seems to use the same red-blue and red-yellow wires. The only other green wire I see at that location is a light green-red wire which operates the a/c.

that must be the wire it is....cuz it looks like it goes through the wiring harness to the engine bay....

does anyone have a stock SOHC wiring harness they dont need?? cuz i would like to buy it to swap out my entire harness
