Please.. Identify this heat shield that is located over my resonator and under my fuel tank. It is a padded aluminum shield that has corroded away the attachments.
I would like to replace both it and its attachment straps. 2008 Nissan Rogue SL

The shield would be your fuel tank protector. Nissan part number 17285JM000. The straps are your fuel tank mounting band assemblies. Nissan parts numbers 17406JG000 and 17407JG00A.

I thought that at first but that is the UPPER protector that fits between the tank and body.. The shield I need is the one that protects the bottom of the fuel tank and run over the resonator between the tank and resonator. The straps are separate from the tank bolted directly to the body.

17285JG000 may be the one you are looking for if you have a 4WD. If you have a 2WD it's the 17285JM000. These both fit onto the bottom of the tank, between the tank and the exhaust system.

I'll order one. If it isn't a match I'll send it back. Thanks for the help.. Nissan parts deal says it fits my VIN..

I have found every time a Aluminum part is attached to a grounded steel part corrosion eats the Aluminum like candy. A simple nylon washer would prevent this..
