Hello all, new to the forum. I dont own a datsun but i wish i did. I Daily drive a nissan hardbody and have a honda accord as a project. Anywho, i recently accuired some 14' meshies off of craigslist and was wondering if anybody could tell me anything about them?? All i know is that they are supposed to be off a 280z, they're 14's, the lug pattern is 4x114.3, and the offset is pretty low, probably like +10. Im hoping someone on here recognizes them and could give me a little more info on them. Here are some pics. Thanks

sorry but there are so many brands of these that are so similar it's near impossible to tell. They are not an OE wheel, could well have been added by a dealer. I've seen this style from: western, enkie, keystone, apliance and I'm sure a few more. are there any casting marks on the back side of the wheel? which is where the offset woud also be stamped. If they were on a 280Z most likely they are a 14x6 with a zero offset, but might have been a +10

do these use a tapered lug or a SS style? if they use ss lugs you'll have a hard time finding the correct lug nuts and washers

Yes sir, they are indeed 14x6. I was thinking they were +10 offset. On the back they say "Shelby" but thats it. Looks like somebody grinded/sanded some info off ever one of the wheels.

They use the lugs that extend into the wheel through the lug hole, I found some with a honda thread pitch at my local auto parts store.

Only things im having issues with are with fitment and what tire size i should run on them. The rears fit fine but the fronts hit the brake calipers so im thinking about running a small spacer all around to help with that

I was also considering running a low pro toyo tire on them but then realized that would mess with my speedometer too much. So now im thinking 175/70/14 just to get that slight stretch of the tire, i just dont know about that huge sidewall

Idk it'll take some mods to get them to fit right but i really like them, dont see many around. I also only spent 100dlls on them so not bad. How much would you say a set of these would go for normally??

if they say shelby then they are shelby wheels, shelby made wheels back in the day, this is the first I've seem of this style, most are an 8 spoke desiand those would be SS style lug nuts, it's getting hard to find much of a selection in lugs and washers these days, modern wheels are hubcentric, these old ss stles are lugcentric, you need the propper lug nuts and washers to get the wheel propperly centered

a 185/60 r14 is a good fit and a very popular size, you'll have lots of options and not such a huge sidewall

Pictures of all wording and numbers on the back?

14x6 is horribly small compared to today's styles. Probably originally made for a 510 or 240Z back in the 70s.

Will have them up in a bit, and yes 14x6 is very small. Because of it im either forced to sell them OR rebarrel them. However i have no clue how much a rebarreling would cost me

I doubt you can rebarrel them, they are likely a 1 piece cast

That picture isn't very helpful. I see "MAX LOAD" and can't make out the numbers. Is there any other writing on them to tell you the offset as well?

And yes. That SHELBY means they were made by them.
