Hello gang,

In the continuing saga of me killing my 1991 240sx (with kindness):

Please help me with three things:

1) Can you identify this hose and fitting? When putting the intake hoses back on after cleaning the very dirty throttle body, I noticed this hose's fitting was loose on the valve cover connection side. Is it supposed to just loosely go in the valve cover? No gasket? I mean, the fitting just slides in/out way too easily.

2) I cleaned the throttle body today (wow was it dirty....I used 1/2 can of CRC Throttle Body Cleaner and the throttle no longer sticks! Will have to do again soon to stay on top of this- it was very dirty. Is there a re-learn procedure for idle like on some other cars?

3) Still looking to buy a MAF sensor for my 1991 ride. Part number is 22680 53F00 A36-000 G60 Please let me know if you have one. EDIT: Member PapaSmurf was kind enough to sell me his original MAF since he upgraded. Thank you PapaSmurf!

Thank you!

should be just a vent tube. Run a bead of RTV high temp around it to secure. or remove and place a cheapy vent filter from the auto parts store of your choice. maybe $10?

Thank you....kind of freaked me out. It was too easy to pull out and after killing my MAF, I thought if I loved this car I should never work on it again.....

I have some red-colored RTV high temp lying around.....
